This position requires a strong organizational leader who committed to technical excellence, team build-up, collaborative communication, career development of team members and corporate success oriented approach. The successful candidate will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for collection of natural materials, preparation of extracts, fraction and compound library, application of state-of-the-art NMR, LC/MS/MS, GC/MS and other spectroscopic technology for structure dereplication and elucidation, and growth of an informatics database. The successful candidate will work closely with screening and development groups for therapeutic target selection, high-throughput molecular or cell based assay guided active isolation; lead compounds pre-clinical and clinical development and commercialization. Finally, the successful candidate will support product launch and business-to-business license, provide chemical test results, data interpretation, and technical input to the business development team. Requires a Ph.D. in natural product chemistry with 8 + yrs academic or industry exp, preferably in natural product drug discovery. A proven record of technical supervision and success in R&D project management are essential. A solid background in professional presentations and publications in peer-reviewed journals is required. Knowledge and experience in physiology, pharmacology, human nutrition, drug discovery and development, data management system and bio-informatics are strongly recommended. Must be a team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
